Frag Dolls

In 2005 I joined Frag Dolls helping establish the UK team as a PR representative for Ubisoft. Between August 2005 and June 2008 my role involved promoting Ubisoft’s software line up,  building the publisher’s online community and representing female gamers.

I undertook a number of projects, events and viral campaigns that included interviewing industry luminaries such as Michel Ancel, Paulina Bozek, Dave Doak, Charles Cecil and Jade Raymond. I participated in gaming tournaments, hosted gaming events, made speeches at universities and trained with elite soldiers, learning to drive a tank and shoot a sniper rifle.

Day to day running of Frag Dolls involved participating in and moderating the forum, facebook page and twitter, writing regular blogs, answering queries about upcoming Ubisoft games and doing regular interviews with newspapers, magazines and websites. I also edited the team’s videoblogs.

Although it was a very singular role, my time with Frag Dolls taught me a great deal about PR and community management, which I am eager to build on within the industry.
